Ghana Premier League newcomers Basake Holy Stars will be hoping to end the unbeaten run of Asante Kotoko this weekend.
The Basake based club after dropping their first two home games of the season ( against Dreams & Medeama) have played seven successive games with 7 points heading to the weekend games.
However, the Unbeatable Boys have won just two games out of the seven played as they head to week eight of the 2024-25 Ghana Premier League campaign.
With two wins and one draw, the Nzema side has seven points out of a possible 21 points and would be hoping to hit the ground running starting with the game against the inform Asante Kotoko.
Asante Kotoko who are unbeaten this season would also be hoping to continue with that streak against the newcomers at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
The Porcupine Warriors this season under coach Prosper Nartey Ogum have had a good start campaign and are ready to set up an exhilarating encounter against Holy Stars on Sunday afternoon.
In an exclusive interview with Domesticsportsgh.com, Holy Stars captain Enis Boadi has vowed, they will do everything possible to end Kotoko’s unbeaten run”.
“We can’t afford to lose this sunday’s fixture, We know Kotoko are on-form and unbeaten this season”, We will do everything possible to win the game on Sunday”, he said.
Holy Stars needs the points to come up on the league table while Kotoko will look to cement their place at the top of the 2024/25 season.
