Nuredeen Amadu has revealed he parted ways with FC Samartex as he felt the drive to continue at the helm of the Ghana Premier League champions.
The 54-year old manger tendered his resignation on Tuesday, December 17, following a turbulence to the 2024/25 season.
Despite leading Samartex to their historic first Premier League title last season, Amadu’s recent tenure has been marked by setbacks. The club suffered early exits from both the CAF Champions League, falling to Raja Casablanca, and the MTN FA Cup at the hands of Bibiani Gold Stars.

Amadu described the amicable nature of his departure, highlighting his positive relationship with club president Dr.Richard Nsienkyire.
Samartex currently lies 10th on the Ghana Premier League table with 17 points after 13 games.
The club has appointed Henry Wellington as Amadu’s successor, with the first challenge coming this weekend as Samartex face Bechem United at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park
