Seasoned coach Prince George Koffie has revealed why he will not be with Swedru All Blacks in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League.
Rumours were rife of coach Koffie being unqualified to lead All Blacks in the top league in Ghana following a successful 2024/25 Access Bank Division One League season.
Speaking on Max FM’s Sports Pack show on Tuesday, July 2, the gaffer disclosed his departure from the club was mutual, refuting reports of bad blood between himself and club owner, Stephen Ato Quayeson.
“When the season ended, the club and I were engaged in talks over extending my stay because I am qualified. I wanted to continue, but one or two things went on, so we decided to part ways, so the contract was not renewed. I had no problem with one,” the former Olympics coach said.
He successfully returned the sleeping giants to the GPL after amassing 60 points in 30 matches by securing 21 wins, 3 draws, and 6 losses.
