Thomas Partey featured in Villarreal’s home defeat to former champions Manchester City in the UEFA Champions League.
The Yellow Submarines welcomed the former Premier League winners in a matchday three encounter of the league phase of the competition.
The deputy Black Stars deputy captain, Partey, played at full throttle as Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva scored in the first half for City’s win.
Partey contributed to a single chance creation and made three key passes with 50 touches despite a decent showing in the midfield.
Villarreal are now placed 29th in the league standings, while City move up to 5th position.
