GFA bans football administrator Kofi Manu for one year
The Ghana Football Association has banned football administrator Kofi Manu from all football related activities for a year for breaching Article 18 of the GFA Code of Ethics (2019), The nation’s football governing body has announced.
According to the release, Kofi Manu was captured in the Number 12 documentary receiving gifts which is against the Association’s code of ethics and was invited to appear before the Ghana FA Ethics Committee.
In a statement from the Ghana FA, Kofi Manu has failed to co-operate with the proceedings of the Ethics Committee.
“The GFA Ethics Committee at its meeting held on December 10, 2020 foundMr. Kofi Manu to have breached Article 18 of the GFA Code of Ethics (2019) (Duty to Cooperate) which imposes a duty to assist and cooperate truthfully, fully and in good faith with the Ethics Committee at all times, and not to take any action actually or apparently intended to obstruct, evade, or otherwise interfere with any actual or potential Ethic Committee proceedings”.
