Tema Youth SC scored in the second half to pip Danbort FC 1-0 on match day nine Zone Three National Division One League game at the Presbyterian school park in neighbouring Nungua on Wednesday.
Evan Osei Wusu scored in the 67th minute of the game to register his 4th goal of the season in a tension packed encounter. Tema Youth are unbeaten in nine matches and join Accra Lions at the top of the table with 21 points, intensifying the title race.
The Habour Warriors are just one goal shy of leaders Accra Lions, two points ahead of third placed Heart of Lions. Oda Kotoku Royals also won 3-1 against Mighty Jets at home to move to fourth with 17 points as Okyeman Planners snatched a point against Phar Rangers in a 1-1 draw to move to the fifth place.
Two other fixtures will be cleared on Thursday. Agbozume Weavers host Vision FC at Sogakope. While, Accra City Stars play Uncle T United FC.
