Dormaa born, Diawisie Taylor’s brace was enough to secure a vital 2:1 win for Karela United over his hometown club Aduana Stars at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in match week 17.

Youngster Evans Sarfo gave out possession to Yahaya Mohammed who perfectly found Bright Agyei in the 18 yard box to score a perfect curler on the 7th minute for Aduana Stars.

Karela United re-grouped to find the equalizing goal but Aduana Stars’ shot stopper, Joseph Addo stood to the Occasion to deny Diawisie Taylor, Umar Bashiru, Evans Sarfo and Richard Berko on many occasions before the first quarter of the game.

Former Bechem United full back, Augustine Randolf warm himself in the game and square up a low cross which was brilliantly converted by Diawisie Taylor on the 42nd minute to score his 11th goal of the season to break his three match goal drought.

Brabby Kofigo, Yahaya Mohammed missed chances that could have given the Dormaa outfits the lead before half-time.

Ex-Elmina Sharks winger, Benjamin Tweneboah was brought on for Brabby Kofigo and became an instant hit for the visitors, causing a lot of threat at the right side of the Karela United defense.

Karela United were handed a free-kick after Frankyn Osei was brought down by Prince Acquah inside the center circle, Godfred Agyemang Yeboah stood by the ball and unleashed a good cross which was headed home by Diawisie Taylor to extend his goal scoring tally to twelve in the 90+1 minute of injury time.

Karela United have extend their lead at the top of the league with a four points gap.
