Nzema Kotoko fans pleads for Coach Wellington stay
The Executives of Nzema Kotoko supporters union has jumped to the defence of coach Henry Wellington insisting the former Hearts of Oak gaffer should be maintained.
The future of Henry Wellington has been hugely speculated in the media following the recent incident over his contract renewal issues with the management.
The former Wikki tourist trainer took over the club early this year and guided the club from unsafe 12th position to 5th position during the 2019/20 truncated season following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus.
The club’s umbrella body for Nzema Kotoko fans is preaching continuity for coach to stay.
“ We haven’t heard anything official from our management but we won’t allow it to be happen that coach Wellington is going, we are pleading to stick behind the coach, because we have trust in him” Hon Abizi Morkeh, Supporters chief told West End Radio.
“We respect our management but this coach should be allowed to stay, we are ready to help financially at all cost “he added.
“We must look at the supreme interest of the club and allow Wellington to continue for next season for a proper assessment of his work” he has Nzema at his heart, we love him as coach.
Nzema Kotoko are yet to resume camping despite government lifting ban on all contacts sports.
The new Division One League season is expected to be commenced on December 13-16 this year.
