Former Arsenal defender analogise Thomas Partey to Patrick Viera.
One-time Arsenal defender Martin Keown has hailed the club new boy Thomas Teye Partey after his explosive full debut in the Europa League against Rapid Wien at the Allianz Stadion.
Keown has compared Thomas Partey to the club legend and former captain Patrick Viera who has a tremendous career at Arsenal.
The ex-Atletico Madrid midfielder was handed his first start by Mikel Arteta after this deadline move to the Emirates Stadium.
Keown’s description of Partey’s outstanding performances in Thursday’s is as same as the attributes of the ex-Arsenal skipper Vieira.
“I think you know when you see a player immediately add that touch of class, who wants to play and makes things happen. He’s so silky smooth, he’s oozed class and been everywhere.” Keown said.
The 27 year old Ghanaian International joined the Gunners on a five years contract worth £45 million from the Los Rojiblancos on the last day of the transfer window.
Teye Partey made a cameo appearance in last weekend 1:0 loss at the Etihad Stadium in the premier league against Manchester City.
