Ruthless Karela United wallop Fearsome Sharks at the Fortress
Karela United secured their fourth win in the season over Elmina Sharks yesterday at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park.
The Pride and Passion lads won 3:1 against the fearsome Sharks on the afternoon.
James Bissue broke the deadlock on the day for the away team after firing directly from a free-kick in 35 yards.
Karela United responded very quickly from formal Bekwai Youth Academy forward Richard Berko to make the scoreline all square before the referee ended proceedings.
Emmanuel Kwame Boateng replaced wasteful Samuel Ofori in the second half and rise to the occasion when the team was calling to capitalise on some misunderstanding from the Sharks defence to notch the second goal for the Nzema based side.
Club leading top-scorer Diawisie Taylor scored from the spot-kick after referee Eso Doh Morrison called for a hand ball in the 18yard box.
Karela United win takes them to the apex of the Ghana Premier League and are tied on 14 points with Bechem United who were anhilated 6:1 by Accra Hearts of Oak on Saturday afternoon.
