Kotoko’s CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal have been called off.
Kotoko insist there were irregularities with the testing that resulted in up to 11 members of their team declared positive.
Seven Kotoko players and four officials tested positive for COVID-19 ahead of today’s CAF Champions League game against Al Hilal.
After several interrogations and misunderstanding between the two teams, the game have been called off until further notice.
CAF is expected to communicate a new date and time for the game to be played.
This will be the second time Kotoko is having a game in the Champions League called off after their preliminary round match against Mauritanian side Noudhibou was called off which ultimately saw Kotoko through to the next round.
Kotoko are in Sudan to overturn a 1-0 defeat suffered at the hands of their counterparts in Accra.
