‘I was surprised with Diawusie Taylor’s exclusion from Black Stars squad’- Mallam Yahaya
Former Black Stars midfielder and current Wassaman United head coach Mallam Yahaya, says he is surprised about Diawusie Taylor’s omission from the local-based players selected to begin final camping for the Black Stars ahead of next month’s Africa of Nations qualifiers against South Africa and São Tomé and Principe.
The Outspoken football manager, revealed this in an interview with Sampson K. Obeng, host of Ankobra FM Sports. He also stated that the inconsistent selection of players to the Black Stars should be dealt with very well.
“Changing of players being called to the senior team should be well considered because that won’t help in building the team”he advised
He mentioned if the local league is to be taken serious, players who are playing well should be the first to be considered into the Black Stars team and that would help in selling the Ghana Premier League to the world.
“With Diawisie Taylor topping the goalscoring chart with 12 goals playing for the league leaders, Karela United, Kwame Peprah with 9 goals for relegation battling side, King Faisal they should have been called up to the Black Stars”. He concluded.
