Benni McCarty set to join Zamalek as head coach
AmaZulu head coach Benni McCarthy said he would be open to coaching Egyptian giants Zamalek SC if the opportunity ever presented itself.
McCarthy, 43, has emerged as one of the most promising coaches on the continent since leading Usuthu to runners-up in the inaugural DStv Premiership and qualifying them for the CAF Champions League.
Having won the PSL Coach of the Season award and the MTN8 in his stint with Cape Town City, the Bafana Bafana legend has created a foundation to build on for success that could well reach the heights of his iconic playing career.
And speaking to his former AFC Ajax teammate Ahmed Mido on his television show ‘The Changing Room’ via Al-Nahar channel, he admitted a move to Zamalek is appealing.
