Nana Yaw Amponsah admits kotoko playing away from Baba Yara caused them the GPL title
The young vibrant Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah believes his outfit could have emerge as Ghana Premier League champions if they had played their home matches at the Baba Yara Stadium.
The 24-times Ghana Premier League champions lost the domestic top-flight title to arch-rivals who won their first major trophy since 2009.
The two-time Africa champions who played home away from home due to the renovation works at the Baba Yara Stadium finished 2nd on the league log with 57 points.
However, Nana Yaw Amponsah speaking to Asempa FM on Ekosisen, he indicated the side could have won the league if they had played their homes games at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“I believe 100% that if we played out home matches at home, we would have won the league. Every team is stronger at home. If we had played at home some results would have been different.
