AS Roma sensation, Felix Afena-Gyan has officially been declared unavailable to honour his first international call-up by Ghana.
The 18-year-old striker, last week, was named by Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac for the final two games in the group qualifiers to the 2022 Fifa World Cup against Ethiopia and South Africa.
The surprise decision divided opinion with the player’s camp signalling it was to early for the youngster who had just been promoted to the Roma first team and had only recently bagged a combined 77 minutes of action from two Italian Serie A appearances.
Roma publicly welcomed Afena-Gyan’s inclusion in the Black Stars’ 28-man squad via their socials.
