Former Zamalek striker Benjamin Acheampong has indicated that he is ready to rejoin his former side Asante Kotoko for free.
Acheampong, 31, has been a free agent since 2018 after departing Qatari outfit Al-Shamal in 2018.
It would be recalled that he joined the Porcupine Warriors in 2011 from WA All Stars ( now Legon Cities) in a two-year deal before joining Angolan giants Petro De Luanda following his impressive performance with the Ghanaian giants.
Acheampong in an interview with Asempa FM expressed his readiness to rejoin Kotoko for free.
“Kotoko are doing well and I hope that it continues so that everyone at the club will avail,” Acheampong told Asempa FM.
“I am ever ready to rejoin the club when the chance availa itself. I don’t mind playing for Kotoko for free. It’s not about the money.
“I really love Kotoko and would want to wear the jersey once again if the need arises. I would wish to play for them again even without taking salaries,” he added.
Kotoko have had an impressive start in the ongoing 2021 22 Ghana Premier League after picking nine points out of nine.
They host Techiman Eleven Wonders at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a match-day 4 encounter on Saturday pm at 6pm.
