Former Bayern Bayern Munich defender Samuel Osei Kuffour has been elected the President of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) on Monday, November 22.
The ex-Ghana international takes over the reigns at the umbrella body of players in Ghana and abroad from former Black Stars coach Kwesi Appiah.
His election was at the Annual Congress of the body in Accra attended by representatives and captains of the male and female teams in Ghana.
Kuffour, who was previously a board member of the union, was unilaterally confirmed by all voters in a yes or no vote.
Joseph Tetteh Zutah, captain of Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC, was voted the Vice President of the PFAG.
Three-time African Footballer of the Year Abedi Ayew Pele has also been voted as a board member.

Other board members are Kwame Ayew, Augustine Arhinful, Ibrahim Tanko, Stephen Appiah, Mohammed Muntari Tagoe, Elizabeth Addo, and Gifty Appiah.
Founder and General Secretary Anthony Baffoe continues in his position together with his deputy Solomon Torson.
