Chaotic Karela United knocked out their regional rivals Medeama SC in their Mtn FA Cup round of 64 tie at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Wednesday Afternoon.
Ahmed Toure gave the visitors the lead on the 9th minute after the Karela United defence went to sleep.
Young forward Samuel Atta Kumi headed home the equalizer from an Umar Bashiru cross.
Ansu Kofi Patrick restored the lead for the Tarkwa based outfits with a sublime finish in the 12 yard box before Karela United equalized from the spot through Umar Bashiru after Augustine Randolf has been brought down by Ali Quattara.
The winner hard to be decided via penalty shoot-out after a 2-2 scoreline in regulation time.
In the shootout, Benjamin Arthur and Godfred Kodwo Asamoah (Medeama) and Kwodwo Addae (Karela United) missed their efforts after six kicks.
The Passioners will know their opponent in the next draw of the flagship competition next week.
