Spanish side Valencia CF are interested in securing the services of Ghanaian midfielder Mubarak Wakaso in the ongoing January transfer window, Footballghana.com can report.
The 31-year-old who currently ply his trade in China for Shenzhen FC is liked by Valencia coach José Bordalas and has made the Ghanaian his transfer target this window.
Valencia have been inconsistent prompting the club to strengthen their squad ahead of the second round of the campaign.
Wakaso contract with the Chinese Super League side will expire in 2025.
The enterprising midfielder began his career at Ashantigold before departing to Elche in 2008.
He has spent most of his career in La Liga Santander featuring for Villarreal, Espanyol, Las Palmas, Granada and Deportivo Alves.
He is currently with the Black Stars team in Doha, Qatar as they prepare for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations which starts this weekend.
