The Majority Leader of Parliament, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has stressed that Ghana needs Chris Hughton as its head coach in order to build a strong team.
According to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament, the Black Stars currently has an average team and urgently needs someone with the expertise to use that material to build a formidable side.
“Chris Hughton is a coach who knows how to build with average materials and that’s Ghana’s situation now. Our materials are not good so we need Chris to weld. Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund,” the Majority Leader told Angel FM in an interview.
The government according to report wants the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to hand the vacant Black Stars head coach job to Chris Hughton.
The former Brighton & Hove Albion manager is currently in Ghana and expected to hold a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the GFA this week.
