Aduana Stars got their second round campaign off to a wonderful start beating Karela United by 2-0 to end the Aiyinase-based club 8-games unbeaten run.
The hosts wasted no time in making their intentions clear as they flew out of the box right from the blast of the whistle.
The Ogya lads early dominance was rewarded as Bright Adjei scored his first of the day in the 4th minute.
Adjei then doubled his tally on the day 14 minutes later with another excellent finish to put Aduana Stars 2-0 after 18 minutes.
Karela struggled to find a foothold in the game as they were completely overrun by their hosts.
Aduana Stars couldn’t add onto their tally and chances were far and few for the visitors who couldn’t manage an equaliser or a consolation goal.
Aduana Stars move into 3rd place whilst Karela drop from the 8th spot.
