The organisation handed over a memorandum to the league after staging a march during the Soweto Derby at Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

This week marks exactly two years since local fans were prohibited from attending live football matches due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

NASFA media officer, Mpho Leeu has confirmed that her association met with chairman Irvin Khoza and acting CEO Manto Madlala to discuss the issue of fans being allowed back into stadiums.

“We met with Irvin Khoza and Mato Madlala last week,” Leeu tells KickOff.

“I must say it was a fruitful meeting. We reached an agreement that we as fans should return this week to deliver our memorandum to the PSL offices.

“The delegation will meet with the PSL again before the end of this week to deliver the memorandum at their offices in Parktown.

“The march was a great success. It was a peaceful march and we want to thank the supporters for coming in big numbers.

“We are going to give the PSL ten days to respond to the memorandum. There are also arrangements being made to meet with SAFA soon.

“As you saw last week there was a march in Durban and we plan to have many activities around the country so that the authorities listen to our demand of returning back to stadiums.”
