Honourable Baffour Awuah’s 5-year spell as Soccer Academy owner is over after the club announced on Tuesday that the takeover led by Hon Kwasi Ameyaw Kyeremeh had been completed.
A statement published on club official page began:
“??||OFFICIAL
A successful club take over meeting was held at the Twumasi Sports Complex yesterday, 19th July, 2022, where club ownership of Baffour Soccer Academy was transferred from Hon. Baffour Awuah to Hon. Ameyaw Cheremeh”.
According to an insider reports, the takeover became necessary following Nsoatreman FC promotion to the Ghana Premier League.
This sale process commenced earlier this month, when Hon Baffour Awuah announced his intention to sell the Club after 5- successful years of ownership.
It also stated that Hon Baffour Awuah sold the brand in other to pay much attention to his newly promoted Ghana Premier League side.
New owner
Kwasi Ameyaw-Cheremeh, born November 6, 1966 is a Ghanaian politician and member of parliament for the Sunyani East constituency in the 5th parliament of the 4th republic.
Ameyaw-Cheremeh is a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). He was elected in the 2008 Ghanaian general elections as the Member of parliament for the Sunyani East constituency for the 5th parliament of the 4th republic of Ghana. He obtained 33,765votes of 53,844 total valid votes cast, equivalent to 62.71% of total valid votes cast.
