Ghana earned another medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham on Wednesday when boxer Wahid Osman advanced to the men’s light welterweight semi-finals.
Wahid defeated Antigua and Barbuda’s Alston Ryan to advance to the semi-finals, where Team Ghana are guaranteed at least a bronze medal.
Earlier in the day, Ghana’s first medal was won by Joseph Commey after he defeated New Zealand’s Alex Mukuka in the men’s featherweight quarterfinals.

Abdul Wahib Omar ?? defeated Alston Ryan ?? in the quarterfinals of the light welterweight boxing division. He’s assured of at least the bronze medal.
