Residents of Eikwe in the Ellembelle Constituency of the Western Region are delighted with the newly constructed Astroturf in the town.
The facility which was initiated by ENI Ghana and it’s OCTP partners, Vitol Upstream Ghana Limited and GNPC with support of the World Bank has been hailed by the people for the impact it would have on sports development in the area.
The edifice is expected to serve as the backbone for soccer in the constituency which will help groom young talents.
Upon completion, it would be one of the modern sports facilities in the Western part of the country with an artificial field and floodlights.
The park will be the second of the three projects to be completed following the completion of the Atuabo project with the other in Sanzule set to take shape in the coming months.
ENI Ghana is an energy company which operates in the Exploration & Production, Refining & Marketing and Chemical sectors and invest in local development initiatives.
