Despite poor attendance today at the Baba Yara Stadium, former Hearts of Oak striker, Abednego Tetteh scored in added time on Sunday afternoon to deny Asante Kotoko what would have been an important win in the Ghana Premier League title race.
The Porcupine Warriors welcomed Gold Stars to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium today in a Week 30 encounter of the league campaign.
Following a very bright start to the first half, Asante Kotoko took the lead through Solomon Sarfo Taylor in the 6th minute.
However, with the team failing to take advantage of the momentum of the early goal, the side had to pay for it in the second half.
A resilient display from Bibiani Gold Stars in the final minutes of the game paid off when experienced forward Abednego Tetteh equalised with a towering header to restore parity to the game.
In the end, both teams had to settle for a point each from the 1-1 draw.
This is another setback for Asante Kotoko as far as their quest to defend the Ghana Premier League title is concern.
