The Techiman-based side defeated Hasaacas Ladies 5-3 on penalties to win the Women’s Premier League title for the second successive time.

Ampem Darkoa Ladies won the top spot in the Northern zone, while Hasaacas Ladies snatched the slot from Faith Ladies in the Southern zone to set up a repeat of last season’s grand finale.

Ampem Darkoa will represent Ghana in the WAFU Zone B tournament to compete for a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League. They missed out on CAF Champions League last season.

Elsewhere, Kpando Heart of Lions will return to the betPawa Premier League next season after winning zone three of the Access Bank Division One League with five games to end the season.

The club was relegated in the 2014/2015 season and will now make their return to the elite league after an eight-year absence.

Their promotion to the top flight was confirmed following the defeats of Vision FC and Koforidua Semper Fi FC in Division One League Week 25.

The Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG) wishes to salute the coaches and the entire team of both Ampem Darkoa Ladies and Heart of Lions for their respective triumphs.

As always, the PFAG stands with them and for them!!
