Division Two football match in Berekum took a violent turn after one team’s player enacted a shameful piece of revenge on the referee after his team lost the game 1-0.

The incident occured immediately after the game between Domfete Galaxy FC and Fetentaa Gye Nyame FC in Berekum.
Things turned ugly immediately after referee Patrick Adjei Sarpong had blown his whistle, saw an enraged reaction from one player identified by the name Joseph Oteng Adjei attacked the referee and hit him with a metal and punches in his face.
The referee was seen in the video with pool of blood all over his body.
The referee was rushed to a nearby clinic and currently responding to treatment.
According to reports, these hooligans claimed that referee Patrick Adjei Sarpong robbed and cheated against them, hence, their decision to take the law into their own hands.
