The 2014 World Cup star donated the cash towards the Cape Coast Central Mosque project.

Sumaila, born and raised in the Central region has been contributing immensely to communities as he seeks to relieve people from their burden. The former Ebusua Dwarfs defender is currently in Ghana after leaving Muaither SC in Qatar.

The former Asante Kotoko and Mamelodi Sundowns star is expected to secure a move ahead of the next transfer window as he eyes a return to the pitch.

The 30-year-old has had stints with a host of clubs after departing Asante Kotoko in 2015 for greener pastures.

He has featured for Al Gharafa, Red Star Belgrade, Qadsia SC, Saham Club and Muaither SC.

Sumaila has capped 10 times for the Black Stars since making his debut in 2012. He was part of the Black Stars that represented Ghana at the 2014 World Cup tournament in Brazil, where Ghana exited at group stage.
