The ongoing topflight campaign has offered exciting football and several twist of narratives almost every weekend. Apart from it competitive nature, the season has offered several storylines on potential league winners as well as relegated strugglers.

At various stages of the season, Asante Kotoko, Bechem United, Dreams, Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions have all become huge favourites for the championship. At present, the battle is between Medeama, Aduana Stars and Bechem United who are going neck to neck for the title with just two games to spare.

Reacting to the current performance of his team, Micheal Osei told Kumasi-based Bryt FM that, the season has been very competitive and considering the points gap you don’t have to just drop points, so it makes the league very difficult and unpredictable” he said.

“It’s not surprising that both teams are now challenging for the title and many clubs are also doing their best to escape relegation” he stated.

Ghana Premier League is expected to be completed on June 11, and Medeama SC are one win away to grab their very first league title should they win against Samartex on Sunday.

Goldstars in the other hand will traveling to Nzema Aiyinase on Sunday to face relegation strugglers Karela United.
