The Pride and Passion side defeated toothless Kotoku Royals 3-2 in a vital away win to escape relegation after the final day of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season.
The team from the Western Region struggled to compete in the 2022/23 football season and nearly suffered relegation.
In a final game of the season against Kotoku Royals, Karela United needed a win to guarantee safety.
Stepping up to the occasion, the team scored twice in the first 45 minutes through an early goal from Emmanuel Owusu Boakye and 23rd minutes strike from Kharim Ayeh to take control of the match.
Although Kotoku Royals came strongly in the second half with goals from Richard Mensah and Andy Kumi, Karela United managed to score a third goal by inform Owusu Boakye to secure a 3-2 win at the end of the 90 minutes.
The win has seen Karela United finish seventh on the Ghana Premier League standings with 47 points after 34 round of matches.
