Karela United are looking to overhaul their squad during the summer transfer window after successfully retaining their top-flight status for the 2023/2024 campaign.
Coach Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko has made it clear he needs access to higher calibre of players to challenge for the Ghana Premier League.
It is reported the Passioners have made Kotoku Royals midfielder Prince Kwame Dogbe and Ali Mohammed of Tamale City a target for the summer transfer window with both players keen for an exit after their respective clubs were relegated to the second tier of Ghana Football.
However, Shaibu Tanko must offload several players in order to purchase the likes of Prince Dogbe and Ali Mohammed during the Domestic transfer window.
Daniel Kwofie Paha display confirmed to Shaibu Ibrahim Tanko that the former Samartex FC midfielder must be moved on, while Joseph Dinku’s inconsistency has convinced the Karela boss that he also cannot be relied upon.
Longest serving player, Kodwo Addae and Kwaku Osei are also under threat, with the Former Real Tamale United Coach looking to part ways with the captain and his deputy who are set to run out of contract.
Goalkeeper Emmanuel Essandoh is also in menace with coach Tanko willing to clear out the dead wood within the squad he inherited when he took over after Bismark Kobi-Mensah mutually parted ways with the club.
The Pride and Passions outfits are also set to jettison several players including; Prince Asempa, Enock Ablenyo and Salim Illiasu, as well as Emmanuel Anaful and Philip Flamini who will be out of contract.
Loan signing Evans Adomako Wiredu who had a great season with the Aiyinasi-based club has returned to his parent club, Asante Kotoko.
