Daniel Amartey agrees three-year deal with Turkish giants Besiktas

Daniel Amartey, the Ghanaian international, has reached an agreement to join Turkish powerhouse Besiktas on a three-year contract, according to Sanni Daara.

Following the expiration of his contract with relegated Leicester City, the 30-year-old defender decided to part ways with the club.

Despite being a free agent, Amartey attracted interest from several European clubs during the ongoing summer transfer window.

There were strong links between Amartey and Scottish giants Rangers, especially after their former manager, Brendan Rodgers, returned as the head coach.

However, the experienced defender has chosen to make the move to Besiktas, where he is expected to finalize his contract next week once all negotiations are completed.

Amartey is an integral part of the Ghana national team, the Black Stars, and was included in the squad for the 2022 World Cup held in Qatar.
