Ghanaian Football legend, Mohammed Ahmed Polo has called for partnership towards the construction of its own Sports Academy at Odumase in the Dodowa District of the Greater Accra Region.
The proposed Sports Academy when completed will have five storey Administration block, 5-storey basic school block, 3-storey Senior high school block, two-storey apartment as staff residence, one Astro turf, Mini grass pitch with 5,000 sitting capacity.
The Sports Academy will also have a Boxing arena, Basketball & Volleyball court, Swimming pool & bar, 65-room hostel facility with gym centre and kitchen.
The construction of the whole project of the Polo Sports Academy is valued at $5million USD which is approximately GhC60M, ( 60M Ghana Cedis).
According to Mohammed Polo’s Personal Assistant Mr.Hayford Boateng in an interview with Domesticsportsgh.com, said Ghana could benefit from the proposed Polo Sports Academy to develop sports such as swimming, basket ball, canoeing, rowing and he’s hopeful of securing a partnership to fund the project.
Polo Sports Academy is therefore looking for sponsorship or partnership from the Government, Non-Governmental organizations, philanthropists among others for assistance.
