Eunice Ama Baisie, wife of Legon Cities goalkeeper William Essu has confirmed the bad state of her husband and cried for help.
According to Eunice, who spoke to Tarkwa based Medeama FM, she disclosed that her husband is seriously ill and the goalie has been neglected by his own club who refused to return to his calls.
The wife also revealed that her husband has been on the sick bed for while where she currently finds difficult to raise money to take care of him.
” It’s true my husband is very sick, and he has been neglected by his club, Legon Cities despite owning him several months, they even failed to pick his calls” she said.
“Now it very hard for us to raise money to take care of him” he told Medeama FM monitored by Domesticsportsgh.com.
The Ghana Premier League side were dealt with a big blow on Tuesday following the demise of their first choice goalkeeper Sylvester Sackey.
Sackey, who we understand his demise comes after he had complained bitterly of stomach pains and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
However, with Essu latest treatment some soccer fans have criticized the club for their bad treatment on players following the demise of their goalkeper Sylvester Sackey.
However, the wife of William Essu is pleading with the club hierarchy and general public to help raise money for her
husband’s medication.
According to our sources, the former Ghana youth goalkeeper is owed by the Ghana Premier League side Legon Cities FC in salaries and bonuses.

He is also owed by the Ghana government after unpaid monies after playing for the various national youth teams.
