Venomous Vipers head coach, Robert Esebu has called for a revival from Sekondi Eleven Wise and Sekondi Hasaacas, following their underwhelming circumstances in the lower division.
Despite being the previous champions in the Ghanaian topflight in 1960 and 1977 respectively, the two prestigious clubs have encountered difficulties as of late and currently playing in the Division Two.
Even their recent campaigns were particularly disappointing with both sides failing to progress beyond the middle league.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with West Gold FM, coach Esebu urged the Sekondi Takoradi-based clubs to raise their standards and address their shortcomings to ensure they return to past glories and capture thier topflight status.
“Things have turned out, Hasacaas and Wise must sit up and revive the old memories to the lovely people of Sekondi Takoradi.”
The former Eleven Wise player urged the clubs to improve in all areas in order to bring back the glory days of the club.
He also charged supporters to stay calm and support thier teams through good and hard times.
Coach Robert Esebu guided Venomous Vipers to qualify to the 2023/24 Division One League season after 4-years absence.
