Karela United’s 2022/23 seasonal best player, Emmanuel Owusu Boakye has reportedly applied for floating status to enable him leave the club, Domesticsportsgh.com can exclusively reveal.
The diminutive ball playing winger wants a move away from the Tamale-based club on personal terms according to his camp.
Domesticsportsgh.com understands, the relationship between Owusu Boakye and Karela United is believed to have suffered a complete breakdown after some senior players were accused following their narrow win and heavy defeat against Steadfast FC and Bechem United respectively with the fact that Boakye and some key players had not been training to get selected for games since that incident.
However, the player has made up his mind and the winger is seeking a move away with Nations FC, Samartex, Bibiani GoldStars and Bechem United likely to be his preferred destination.
Owusu Boakye has made 8 appearances this season, scoring two and winning two man of the match awards for Karela United, notably against Hearts of Oak.
