After their shocking defeat in the hands of Super Eagles of Nigeria, midfielder Franck Kessie has urged all the Ivorians to continue their supports to the Elephants.
Nigeria defeated Ivory Coast 1-0 through a spot kick by captain William Ekong-Troost on Thursday at the Stade Alassane Quattara in Ebimbe, Abidjan.
” We couldn’t win today, but there is still a game to play to qualify, so we need you to continue to supports us when we play Equatorial Guinea” he told the press after the game.
Over 49,000 watched the game yesterday in Ebimbe.
Ivory Coast will host Equatorial Guinea in a final group A game, whiles the Super Eagles plays Guinea Bissau as well.
