After winning the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League in surprising fashion, FC Samartex 1996, have dominated the end of year Team of the Season spots in former Accra Hearts of Oak and Accra Great Olympics player, Laryea Kingston’s list.
The Samreboi based club won the 18 team league with 61 points finishing 10 points ahead of second placed Accra Lions.
On the back of the brilliant campaign, Samartex had three players named in the Ghana Premier League Best XI with head coach Nurudeen Amadu named as the manager of the group.
Midfielder and captain Emmanuel Keyekeh, winger Evans Osei Wusu and goalkeeper Kofi Baah made the list; Keyekeh got named the Home-Based Player of the Year Award at the Ghana Football Awards.
Berekum Chelsea’s striker Stephen Amankona, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Steven Dese Mukwala and Nsoatreman FC midfielder Abdul Umar Manaf made the list.
Amankona topped the goal scorers chart with 19 goals and Manaf won the MTN FA Cup with Nsoatreman via a penalty shootout win over Bono rival Bofoakwa Tano.
