Ghana’s plummeting fortunes in world football seem to continue unabated as the country drops in the latest FIFA rankings.
The 2010 FIFA World Cup quarter-finalists dropped from 73rd to 77th in the rankings released on Thursday, November 29.
Ghana failed to win two of the games played in the month under review.
They drew 1-1 against Angola and shockingly lost 1-2 at home to Niger.
The Menas’ win over the Black Stars, following a 4-0 drubbing of Sudan in the AFCON 2025 qualifiers, makes them the biggest climbers in the rankings.
They moved up nine places from 131st in October to 122nd this month.
Ghana remains 14th on the continent despite the four-place drop in the global rankings.
Morocco(14), Senegal(17), Egypt(33), Algeria(37) and Nigeria(44) are the continent’s Top 5.
Argentina, France, Spain, England and Brazil are the global Top 5.
