Kwabena Boateng sealed the victory for Hearts of Oak in the 82nd minute with an assist from the standout performer, Hamza Issah.

The Phobians controlled much of the match but missed some chances to further extend their lead, allowing Chelsea brief moments of resurgence.

Berekum Chelsea were without their head coach, Samuel Boadu, who is currently on national duty with the Black Galaxies ahead of their CHAN qualifiers against Nigeria on Sunday.

His absence was felt as the team struggled to find their rhythm against the spirited Phobians.

Hearts midfielder Ramzy Yussif was a standout performer, dazzling fans who turned up to support their team.

The win propels Accra Hearts of Oak to 5th place on the league table, leapfrogging their arch-rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko, who are yet to play their match against Dreams FC later on Sunday at 3 p.m, December 22, 2024.

Next up for the Phobians is a Christmas Day clash against relegation-threatened Accra Lions on December 25.
