The former Karela United and Basake Holy Stars coach is currently in the camp of Ampain based club but nothing has been finalized regarding his appointment as the new coach.
According to the latest development, his appointment is being delayed following the management decision to make Samuel Quaye as the club’s new technical director.
Meanwhile, the former Hearts of Oak assistant coach has reportedly agreed to a contract until the end of season and he is waiting patiently for the green light.
Abugri, a CAF License A coach with an impressive coaching record, is likely to take over the mantle from Ibrahim Ewura.
Ibrahim served as the interim coach following the dismissal of Sylvester Wiafe in September 2024.
