The Ghana Premier League (GPL) is set to see a major boost in its media coverage, as Chinese-owned pay-TV operator, StarTimes, is nearing a return as the league’s official broadcast partner. StarTimes, which held the broadcast rights until recently, halted coverage due to unresolved issues with the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking on Asempa FM, GFA Executive Council member Nana Sarfo Oduro revealed that negotiations with StarTimes are at an advanced stage, with the partnership expected to resume during the second half of the 2024/25 league season.
“We are almost finalizing talks with StarTimes, and it is likely they will return in the second round of the season to broadcast our games,” Sarfo Oduro shared
