The Municipal Youth Speaker of the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Municipality, Jonas Kabutey has hinted that, he may file a case against the past leadership of Nzema East Municipal Assembly, National Youth Authority and the former Member of Parliament, Hon. Catherine Ablema Afeku for causing the delay of the controversial Axim sports complex.
This follows after the Youth Parliament was briefed that, GHC18.3m has been spent on the project which is on record the second most expensive youth resource center after Koforidua Sports complex.

Meanwhile, the project remained uncompleted since 2018.
But the speaker of the Municipal Youth Parliament, said the Parliament is allowing for some grace period to compile all the necessary documents and evidence and will be compelled to drag them to court for causing financial loss to the state.
” I have some documents which shows over GHC18m has been spent so far, but the contractors are still crying for unpaid arrears…but sadly upon all this expenditure the project remain uncompleted, if they don’t give us proper accounts as to why the sports complex has delayed, then we would have to go to court to charge them for causing financial loss to the state”, he said.
“I will take them to court to answer some questions, because it is our taxpayers money”, he quizzed.
He also pleaded with the new government led by John Dramani Mahama to complete all sports complexes to enable the youth to use the facilities to discover talents.
