The game between the two sides came to a halt at the Awuale Amihere Kpanyinli Sports Arena after the Assistant Line 1 disallowed a late equalizer, which fans of Basake Holy Stars were unhappy about.

The game was quickly resumed after several engagements and help of the security personnel and the club ( Basake ) officials.

However, Nzema Kotoko seemed unhappy after the game and immediately approached the Basake based club over their supporters conducts at the match venue.

According to the club, the tunnel leading to the dressing room was damaged and there were supporters throwing a lot of objects on the field after the game.

They explained that, such an incident could lead the club ban from using the field for their remaining matches.

Meanwhile, the club also assured the sporting public that there would be a strong action from the appropriate organs of Nzema Kotoko in accordance with the GFA Disciplinary Code and relevant Competition Regulations.

The Club also in an engagement with West End Radio, reminded Basake Holy Stars team of their responsibilities and duties to exhibit behaviors of respect, fair play and tolerance before, during, and after all football matches or else they will be forced to vacate the area.

Now it’s up to the clubs to have a dialogue to solve the situation.
