Most Ghanaians have calls for drastic changes at the Ghana Football Association (GFA).

In an earlier show on Max TV, Sports journalist Francis Agboyibor has revealed that, teams in the Brong Ahafo region have been the darkest face of the Ghanaian football and always the hardest and dangerous place to watch football match.

Agboyibor assertion comes on the heels of the death of Asante Kotoko fan, Francis Yaw Frimpong on February 2, 2025.

The staunch kotoko fan was stabbed to death by an unidentified person in the Ghana Premier League matchday 19 clash, leading to a national uproar on the state of Ghana football.

“The brong Ahafo teams in the Ghana Premier League have been the darkest face of the local league, tell me in the last 5 seasons, Bofoakwa, Aduana Stars, Bechem United, Berekum Chelsea, and Nsoatreman, Every season either 1 or 2 teams of these clubs will be banned from their home grounds, due to hooliganism, crowd trouble, disciplined measures”, he said.

The act of violence has led to the arrest of three individuals ( which includes former MP, Ignatius Baffour-Awuah) in connection with the violent disturbances that erupted at the match centre.
