Accra Hearts of Oak have tied down goalkeeper Benjamin Asare to a new contract that will keep him at the club until 2027, fending off growing interest from abroad.
The 25- year old, who joined the Phobians from Great Olympics in 2024, has enjoyed a meteoric rise in recent months, cementing his place as Ghana’s first choice goalkeeper under national team coach Otto Addo.
Asare’s stellar form both in the Ghana Premier League and on the international stage has attracted attention from Morocco heavyweights Raja Casablanca and three unnamed French clubs. But the highly rated stopper has opted to remain in Accra, committing his immediate future to the Ghanaian giants.
Asare kept clean sheets on his debut 5-0 win against Chad and followed it with a great performance against Madagascar in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
