The Italian tactician is poised to leave Real Madrid this summer after the limp defence of their La Liga and UEFA Champions League titles.

Only the final signature remains to formalise a move that promises to be one of the most exciting appointments in international football.

Ancelotti leaves Los Blancos to take on the challenge of guiding Brazil to an elusive sixth World Cup title.

For the 64-year-old, it is the ultimate closing chapter in a glittering career that has seen him claim domestic titles across Europe and lift the Champions League on multiple occasions.

After falling short at recent tournaments, the Selecao are turning to Ancelotti to restore their global dominance.

His experience and history of managing world-class talent are key for Brazil in this fight to reclaim their place at the pinnacle of world football at the 2026 World Cup.

In his new role, Ancelotti will be reunited with familiar faces.

Current Real Madrid stars Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, Eder Militao, and rising sensation Endrick will likely feature prominently under his leadership.

Ancelotti also knows other Brazilian internationals starring in La Liga, such as Raphinha of Barcelona, which will ease his transition to the international stage.

This next chapter is expected to be his final major managerial project.
Should he succeed, it would crown his already illustrious career and return Brazil to the summit of the footballing world.

An official announcement from the CBF is anticipated in the coming weeks.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid are preparing to head into the Club World Cup without Ancelotti at the helm.

They hope to appoint former midfielder and Bayer Leverkusen gaffer Xabi Alonso to replace Ancelotti, even though they did contact former Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
