Thieves have raided Axim Sports Complex in the Evalue Ajomoro Gwira Municipal and made away with lighting equipment worth around $6,200 USD Domesticsportgh.com can report.
According to reports from the local media, two persons were allegedly suspected to have committed the crime at the Axim Sports Complex, however no arrests has been made at the moment as the search of the thieves continues.
The Police in Axim has commenced investigations into the case which has been reported to them by the municipal authorities.
The thieves cut the cables meant to be used for electrical works on the floodlights and other essential cables at the Axim Sports Complex.
The Resources Youth Centre was one of the 10 complexes constructed by the past government and has not been completed since 2018 with an estimate cost of Ghc18.3m.
