The Sogakope-based side beat Kpetoe Diamond FC 2-1 at Adaklu Youth Resource Center to win the regional middle league final.

Last season, they missed out on qualification after losing to former Premier League side Inter Allies in the final.

Kpetoe Diamond FC were flawless in their three group games as they emphatically destroyed all three opponents put before them in the group stages.

They picked up all nine maximum points at stake to qualify for the final on top of the group. WAFA had to navigate a tough group in order to qualify for the grand finale with seven points.

WAFA will play in the next season’s Division One League Zone 3 after previously competing in Zone 2 which had a toll on the club financially and logistically.
